Entertaining with Chocolate Fountains

If you have chosen to use a chocolate fountain as the centerpiece of your party or reception, you already know that they are a fun interactive way to get your guests mingling and enjoying themselves. However, you may not know all the ins and outs of throwing a successful chocolate fountain party. Here are some tips to keep your friends and family dipping and having a great time at your chocolate fountain party.

  • Full Circle:
Your party space may limit where you place your chocolate fountain, but, if it is at all possible, try to place your fountain in the very center of your party space. This will allow a full 360-degree view of the cascading chocolate. Also, the fountain will be visible to your guests anywhere in the room.
  • Vary Your Presentation:
When you are setting up your dipping supplies, like skewers, napkins, and most importantly, the food, be sure to alternate the presentation. For example, avoid putting all of the strawberries on one tray. Put them on four smaller trays and place them all around the chocolate fountain. Not only will this will prevent logjams at the more popular items, but it also makes for a more beautiful presentation.
  • Delegate Responsibility:
Throwing a successful party is no easy task. It requires a great deal of hard work and, most times, a team effort. It is impossible for one person to perform all of the duties of hosting a party. Be sure to designate a trustworthy friend to keep an eye on our chocolate fountain to make sure it is always functioning properly and to ensure that your guests have everything they need to enjoy it. That way you can mingle and work the room without constantly leaving conversations or being distracted.
