Hayneedle.com response:Trudeau uses cast iron for some of our fondue pots because of its terrific ability to retain heat. Cast iron pots are perfect for keeping cheese and broth warm throughout your meal. However, to keep cheese from burning and broth from boiling, try closing one of the burners after your mixtures have been thoroughly heated. Also, remember that your mixtures for all types of fondue need to be stirred periodically to avoid burning or sticking to the bottom of the pot. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue developing products with safe distances of 1 or 2 inches between the burner flame and pot.
